Even though the snow’s melting, we’re not slowing down. Things are moving full speed around here at the shop in Colorado Springs, and I wanted to give you a quick update on what’s been going on.

We’ve already picked up 12 loads of used skis, snowboards, and winter gear. That’s right, TWELVE. Last summer, we picked up five to give you some perspective. We’re stashing gear like crazy to prep for incoming tariffs and to make sure we’ve got an awesome selection of affordable used ski and snowboard gear heading into next season. We actually ran into a good problem, we’re out of space. With all these pickups (and honestly, it started last season), storage has been a challenge. So we grabbed a unit right here in the same building and we’re working fast to get it filled up and organized. It’s a safe, climate-friendly spot to keep everything in good shape while we get it ready for the floor. It’s a good kind of chaos. 

If you’ve got snowboard gear to trade in or a junior trade-up to bring by, now’s the time. The earlier it comes in, the more likely it is to find a good home when the 25/26 season kicks off. 

Also, in case you missed it, we’re open year-round now. Our inflatable paddleboards and kayaks are in and ready to go. They’re lightweight, packable, and perfect for lake weekends, river floats, or whatever your Colorado summer adventure looks like. It’s been awesome seeing folks come in excited to rent or buy summer gear and get on the water.

That said, winter is always on our radar. Coming up in June, we’ve got our summer planning meeting where we’ll be mapping out the 25/26 ski and snowboard season. We’re training managers, setting goals, planning events, and figuring out how we can do everything even better than last year.

We’re also gearing up to place our next order for our Rocky Mountain Designs snowboards. This year, we’ve added three new topsheet graphics we’re seriously excited about. If you’ve been waiting for a unique board that reps your favorite locally loved ski and snowboard shop, this next batch is going to be rad.

And if you haven’t heard yet, we were voted Best Ski Shop of Colorado Springs for 2025. That still blows my mind. It means everything to us, and it’s all because of you. Every visit, vote, trade-in, and word-of-mouth recommendation keeps us going. We’re honored and more motivated than ever to keep showing up for this community.

So, whether you’re dropping off gear, renting a paddleboard, or just swinging by to say hi, thank you. We’re lucky to have a crew like this, and we never take it for granted.
